The most common figure is bee-wing, but curly and burl are also found. Red Eucalyptus is a deep, brick red. The heartwood tends to darken with exposure to light, while the sapwood ranges from pale yellow to pink. Eucalyptus is a very dense wood. Its natural toughness makes it difficult to work with, but also ensures that the finished product will be solid and long-lasting.
